USA, Georgia: The American subsidiary of Hitachi Ltd. has won an order for the supply of five power transformers from the utility Grand River Dam Authority (GRDA) in Oklahoma.

The contract valued at around $8,53 million has been awarded to Hitachi HVB Inc., based in Suwanee, Georgia, to supply the power transformers to a new GRDA combined cycle natural gas power plant, which will use gas and steam turbines, reports The Japan News.

The power transformers will be manufactured by Hitachi Fortune Transformer Inc., a joint venture between Hitachi and Taiwan’s Fortune Electric Co.
